Learning and Organising
The Learning & Organising Project, seeks to research and develop “best practice” on linking our strategies, embed Organising into ULR training & development and create a “resource” for Branches to support the link. This research is set against the premise that if the CWU doesn’t innovate and Organise members in the “Core” and “Emerging” areas of membership, our effectiveness to represent members will suffer as income decreases.
Methods have been used throughout this research that have sought data to constructively face the tensions of (apparently) different strategies, and instead of choosing one at the expense of the other, generating a creative tension and work towards a new model that contains elements of both.
